Donation Boxes at General Mitchell International Airport
Milwaukee is a community that strives to help one another and pick others up when they're down. In the General Mitchell International Airport located just outside of Milwaukee there are four new donation boxes hoping to help make change with spare change.
When you walk off that airplane and take your first steps into the General Mitchell International Airport, we hope to show you what kind of community we are and how YOU can make your own impact and join us in changing our community for the better.
These four donation boxes have been added as a part of Milwaukee County's Housing First endowment. With the goal to have our community donate their spare change they are hoping to first build housing from the homeless and work towards ending it. Our community over the past three years has already shown that we can make an impact with these boxes by decreasing homelessness by 40 percent, but we aren't done yet and we won't stop until that number is at 0.
When you make the move to Milwaukee, you're moving to a city that has so much pride for what we've accomplished and what we continue to accomplish. Keep an eye out for those donation boxes when you first arrive here and join our community in making change happen.
