Park Horticultural Conservatory (The Domes)
Architecturally
unique glass domes house a tropical rainforest, a desert oasis, and
five seasonal floral shows. Includes a 30-foot waterfall and 100 birds.

Zoological Gardens
Located on 32 acres
along the Lake Michigan shoreline with over 200 animals. Free admission

Schlitz Audubon
Nature Center
Featuring a new
30,000 square foot "green" building, seven miles of hiking
trails and a 60-foot observation tower, the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center
is only 15 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee on the shores of Lake
Michigan. A variety of environmental and natural science programs offered.
Open year round with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter.

Wehr Nature
Center
This 220-acre living
laboratory features a 20-acre lake and trails through prairie, oak savannah,
woodlands and wetlands. There are also field trips for youth groups
and special events for families, children and adults. Open year-round,
8-4:30, except major holidays. Group reservations required. Located

Pier Wisconsin,
Ltd.
A maritime and
water resource education center. Its primary educational center is the
137-foot-long S/V Denis Sullivan, and authentic replica of the 19th
century lake schooners that traveled the Great Lakes. The center is
embarking on a new construction project and will be closed during 2005.
