The best way to experience Southeastern Wisconsin may be a “shopping safaris” that will introduce you to the many unique specialty stores and shopping areas in the five-county region. Six regional shopping malls are located in the five-county metropolitan area.
Bayshore, Southridge, the Shops of Grand Avenue and Mayfair Mall in Milwaukee County, Brookfield Square in Waukesha County and Regency Mall in Racine County. And, in western Waukesha County, plans are being finalized for the Pabst Farms Town Center, a new regional shopping center that will feature more than 120 stores.
Several communities have also transformed their downtown into unique shopping experiences. They include Cedarburg’s Bridge Road in Ozaukee County, Delafield’s Milwaukee Street in Waukesha County, Whitefish Bay’s East Silver Spring Drive and Greendale’s Broad Street in Milwaukee County. The city of Milwaukee also has several shopping areas of note, including the Third Ward, just south of downtown, Cathedral Square, on the city’s east side, and Downer Avenue, just north of downtown.
Looking for a bargain? Your best hunting grounds are the three major outlet malls located within a 40-minute drive of Milwaukee.
