Health Clubs
Milwaukeeans like
to stay in shape year-round. In addition to the many tennis courts,
jogging paths and bicycle trails located within the public park system,
there are numerous indoor facilities as well. Health clubs vary from
exercise-only facilities to full-service family destinations with classes,
day care, weight-loss programs, basketball and indoor tennis courts,
as well as access to personal trainers, nutritionists and massage therapists.
In addition, most of the area's health clubs offer several membership
packages tailored to individual budgets and exercise needs.
Many Milwaukee-area
employers will pay a portion of the membership dues as part of their
employee benefit programs. One advantage of a health club membership
is the ability to attend classes taught by qualified instructors or
to work with a personal trainer to develop a fitness and conditioning
program that meets your needs. Most health clubs open early in the morning
and close late at night to guarantee access to all of their members
- even those with hectic schedules. Following is a sampling of area health
and fitness clubs.
